Stofl & Transport for Wales (TFW) Collaboration
Over the past few months Stofl has been part of the LAB accelerator programme for Transport for Wales (TfW). Transport for Wales Rail (TfWR) has set out to make rail an attractive industry for tech start-ups. The innovation LAB accelerator program aims to not only revamp the rail industry but also transform Wales into a hub of innovation, powering these initiatives and showcasing the tech community within Wales.
This LAB initiative is to improve customer experience and business efficiency across TfWR.
Stofl aims to connect the unconnected by ensuring that TfW infrastructure provides the best possible service for passengers and staff by leveraging low power technology to provide people and systems with valuable and actionable data.
Stofl will be providing a pilot solution to track and monitor air quality on both trains and stations. The pilot will launch with approximately 2 trains and one rail station.
The possibilities are endless with Stofl when developing infrastructure and solutions that combine Blockchain and Low-Power-WAN technologies, allowing machines to communicate and solve some of the world’s most pressing problems more efficiently, securely and in locations further afield than ever before. Air quality monitoring is just the beginning of a great partnership with TfW to bring the railway industry into the 21st century.
